Saturday - walked 12 miles on first day, weather good so far. |

Sunday - walked 30 miles to Maghera, nice day not too hot. |

Monday - managed to cover 28 miles from Dungiven to outside of Derry. Have been joined by 2 girls from Devon, Judy and her sister Caroline who have managed to raise a total of £575 for their part in the Walk. |

Tuesday - Have walked right through Derry, 13 miles so far. Feeling a bit sore, legs are a bit tired so have just stopped to have something to eat. |

Wednesday - The Irish side of the walk is now completed, over the moon with the progress made in the last few days. Two days rest now, then we start in Scotland. May risk a wee dram tonight!! |

Thursday - Boarding Ferry from Larne to Troon, a good chance to relax before arriving in Scotland. |

Friday - Arrive in Troon after a choppy crossing from Larne, cold and wet. Started walking at 5pm, weather drying up and the sun comes out. We take the national cycle path to Irvine onto Kilwinning the Kilbirnie. Stopped walking around 10pm as the daylight is disappearing. |

Saturday - Lovely morning, later start today, on cycle path again Kilbirnie by Loch Winnoch to Kilbarchan. What a beautiful walk on road though Houston to the Erskine Bridge to Old Kilpatrick where we finish for the day. |

Sunday - Another lovely morning back on cycle path to Bowling Dumbarton Renton Alexandria to Balloch. Sandra Finlay a family friend from Glasgow walks as far as Luss and thoroughly enjoys herself, she has donations but not a final figure. After an Ice Cream in Luss, Eric, Sandra's husband collects her and we continue to Tarbet. After a meal we wait until traffic eases a bit then we push on to reach Crianlarich. The last 3 miles hail stones and pouring rain! 50 miles covered today and we take 2 days rest to begin again on Wednesday! |

Monday - A comfortable night’s B & B saw Monday dawn – disaster – the heavens opened and the decision was taken to have a day off. Dorothy headed for Caithness and my friend V8 Dave arrived down. We drove back to Glasgow to pick up the caravan and returned to Crianlarich late on Monday Night. |

Tuesday - Today was to be a rest day but Dave being Dave insisted that the fine weather should be taken advantage of – in other words – "Get your boots on – I will meet you 5 miles up the road for breakfast at the Green Welly!". After a hearty breakfast I said to Dave lets take it to 8 miles meaning another 3. Unfortunately he misunderstood and 8 miles later we eventually met up for a much needed cup of tea! The day went well with the weather holding up. At 2.30pm this afternoon we entered Highland Region and I continued walking until 5pm stopping just before Glencoe, at Bridge of Orchy. Another 28 miles should see us in Fort William. |

Wednesday - George walked through Glencoe on to Fort William. Dorothy started the Great Glen Way accompained by her cousin Diane. 27 miles to Laggan. |

Thursday - Have arrived in Fort Agustus, very tired. Now only 155 miles left to go! |

Friday - Walked 19 miles today, dead beat, but happy! |

Saturday - Walking by Loch Ness, continuing to Inverness. |

Sunday - Crossed over Kessock Bridge on Sunday morning and went as far as Nigg/Tain Roundabout. |

Monday - Currently at The Mound (15:45), heading to Brora where we will finish for tonight. We are hoping to be home in Thurso by Wednesday sometime. |

Tuesday - Walked as far as Dunbeath, will get a lift home to Thurso so I can a nights sleep in my own bed and return tomorrow from Dunbeath to Thurso. |

Wednesday - 27.5 miles from Dunbeath to Thurso and the official end of Walk the Walk for Alison, Letterkenny to Thurso over 400 miles. |
